Placement of the router - It is recommended that you place your router as high off the ground as possible. When placing the router in a high location, leave a distance of 2 feet between the router antenna tips, ceiling, and wall. If your signal passes through multiple floors, place the router on the upper-most floor, and high up in the room.

That’s easier said than done for most people! Maybe your home network equipment (WiFi router, cable or DSL modem, etc.) lives downstairs and your Roku resides in your bedroom upstairs. Dec 31, 2018 · I was only able to connect to my wireless network if I set up the Roku in the same room as the main wireless router. The issue appears to be a sudden loss in wireless reception with the Roku. I am not sure if this is an internal issue, or if it is a bug with the version 9.0.0 build 4083-51 ?

Hey all, I have the verizon branded wireless router. The router itself loses its connection to verizon and I have to reboot it at least 2 times a day to restore my internet service. Faulty router? I have reset it to factory settings once already. Any ideas? Tedd Try using the MAC address cloning feature of your router and change the WAN MAC address to be the same as the one on the computer that was connected before you added the router. Next time your connection drops, first look at your cable modem or DSL router's status lights and make sure they are indicating normal operation.
